5G, the Digital Transformation, and Open Source Software Collaborative

The networking and telecommunications industries are all "a-buzz" talking about 5G and the digital transformation looming on the horizon.  Key tools to make this happen include last-year's buzz words such as Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).  Many of the technology components of this next-generation-networking stack are being built collaboratively across the industry in open source development projects.
