Topic:         New Developments on the Wireless Front


Mark your 2005 calendar for December 14th, because ATP is bringing Michael Finneran back to Columbus for a timely update to the wonderful world of wireless. This topic, "New Developments on the Wireless Front," will focus on: Major Trends in the Wireless Arena, Developing Areas in Wireless, How WiFi is Forging Ahead, What is What with Wimax, and Developments in the Cellular Network. While this topic will cover the entire Wireless spectrum, it will include the interest of Network and Telecom people alike, and guarantee to be very educational. The meeting will conclude with a time of Questions and Answers followed by a buffet style lunch.

Michael Finneran, President of dBrn Associates, Inc. has extensive experience in the specification, design and installation of domestic and international voice and data communications networks. He has held management positions in Sales and Marketing, Product Planning, and Systems Engineering with ITT World Communications, AT&T, and MDS Systems.

As an independent telecommunications consultant, Michael has provided assistance to a number of major firms including IBM, AT&T, Johnson & Johnson, NEC America, and Merrill Lynch. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Data Pro’s “Communications Series” and is a frequent speaker at industry trade shows and conferences. He has appeared on the Computer Channel and has written numerous articles for such industry publications as Business Communications Review, Data Communications and Telecommunications, and Computerworld. Michael also writes a regular column on Networking Intelligence for Business Communications Review.

In the training area, Michael has conducted over 500 seminars for vendors and users in the US, Europe, and Japan. He is an Adjunct Faculty member at Pace University and teaches in the Graduate School of Computer Science. Michael has a Bachelor of Arts degree (Magna Cum Laude) from Manhattan College and a Masters degree from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University with majors in Marketing and Management Information Systems.


The meeting fee is $20 for members and $30 for non-members. To pre-register by e-mail, respond to, and include the company name and names of those who will attend.
